Approach
Approached along a winding country lane, Quinta Patash is a beautifully restored Portuguese farmhouse, set amongst fifty acres of private land and surrounded by delightful gardens and terraces. This stunning villa is set in an elevated position with superb panoramic rural views, and particularly spectacular views of the mountains of Monchique to the north.
Ground Floor
The interior of this restored property has many charming features such as carefully-chosen antiques and pieces of art, gently-sloping beamed ceilings and tiled terracotta floors. The large elegant living/dining room is set beneath high beamed ceilings and has a living area at one end with comfortable seating arranged around a huge fireplace with a wood-burning stove. A grand piano has pride of place in the middle of the room, whilst the formal dining area beyond is furnished with a heavy oak table and chairs beside a large, traditional dresser. A wide archway leads through to a separate cosy TV room where more sofas, armchairs, rugs and tables are arranged around a large television offering some satellite channels.
The large farmhouse kitchen opens off the dining area and has a range of brand new units topped with a glossy work surface. A bay window offers panoramic views over the surrounding countryside and there is a breakfast table and chairs in the centre of the room. The kitchen is well-equipped with a hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave. The guest cloakroom has a WC and washbasin.
The master bedroom has twin beds and is well-furnished with some lovely pieces of antique furniture. There is a dressing area and a full en suite bathroom. The second bedroom also has twin beds and enjoys superb views over the gardens and surrounding countryside. Bedroom three has a single bed, and there is a separate family bathroom and shower room.
Outside
The villa’s delightful gardens feature a range of different areas; a formal Versailles garden with a fish pond, open sun-drenched lawns, shaded dining terraces filled with climbing plants and, of course, a large pool terrace. The oval-shaped pool has wide integral steps leading gradually into the water at one end and is surrounded by a walled and gated terrace giving peace of mind to those with small children. Sun-loungers are set around the pool so you can soak up the Algarve sunshine.
Charming cobbled pathways trail around the gardens, with a number of furnished terraces for relaxing and dining. An original bread oven still stands beside the former stables, but there is also a modern built-in barbecue for al fresco meals – there are no less than seven outdoor dining areas so you can choose a sunny or shaded spot at any time of day and enjoy a different viewpoint over the stunning surroundings. The gardens here are nothing short of magnificent, and provide plenty of opportunities for exploring, strolling and enjoying the warm Algarve sunshine.

The nearest amenities are at the quaint village of Portelas, 2km away, which has a small mini-market and couple of restaurants.
The beach at Luz is only 5km away; this popular fishing port retains much of its traditional charm but also has a bustling cosmopolitan atmosphere. The beach at Praia da Luz is one of the Algarve’s finest with fine, white sands and warm turquoise waters. It is well served by a few beachside cafes and water sports are on offer in summer. Its colourful sandstone cliffs provide beautiful cliff-top walks and at one end are the locally renowned ‘rocha negra’ or black rocks; evidence of ancient volcanic activity.
