Stranraer - with it`s excellent selection of shops and supermarkets, seafront park with miniature railway, boating lake, activity area and playground, the leisure centre with swimming pools and the skateboard park - is just two miles away. The cottage is situated amidst quiet and peaceful countryside surrounded only by farm land, offering guests the best of both worlds. The picturesque harbour village of Portpatrick is just four miles away and with it`s sandy beach, variety of gift shops, inns and restaurants, putting green, tennis courts and clifftop walks it is ideal for a day out without travelling too far. Slightly further afield are many other beautiful beaches, gardens (incl. a botanical garden), forests, visitor centres, castles, golf courses and fishing. The Mull of Galloway with it`s lighthouse, coffee shop, and cliff walks is fantastic.
