General Description
Montemiccioli is a tiny hilltop hamlet that contains, apart from the ruins of an ancient look-out tower, just a handful of families. This is undoubtedly full immersion in the Tuscan countryside, with San Gimignano (whose towers are visible from this property`s scenic terrace), Volterra, Siena and Florence all within easy reach. Spending a week or two here will be world`s away from what clients are used to. The accommodation and terrace are located on the first floor for good reason – so that guests can enjoy the superlative views and feel as one with the rural surroundings – and whatever the high temperatures outside, inside is pleasantly cool.
All essential shops, banks and chemists can be found in the small village of Cast San Gimignano only three and a half kilometres away or at Volterra about fifteen kilometres away; a 1st century BC Roman theatre is one of many reasons to pay a call on this bustling medieval town.
