General Description
Lamole is a hamlet set high above the galleried town of Greve in the very heart of Chianti. Apart from some houses and a church, whose bells peal out even more atmosphere over this classic Tuscan idyll, the Ristoro di Lamole is a delightful restaurant in which many happy hours may be spent inspiring the senses. Within walking distance of here is the private gated estate of Villa di Lamole.
Timeless, and as part of the scenery as the wooded hillsides, vineyards and cypresses, this property is split into two: Il Villino (a small part of which is unavailable to clients and only used by the owner if organising meals or cooking course, both of which are available on request) and Le Scuderie (the converted stables). Aesthetically positioned, around these two detached houses, are several outside terraces, large and small, but all naturally shaded, and all blessed with some of the most stunning, far-reaching, views that guests are sure never to forget. Inside, the rooms have original tile floors, are high-ceilinged, several actually with frescoes, and are airy and cool thanks to the large arched windows in most rooms.
The furniture is mostly turn-of-the-century, solid and wonderfully in keeping.
