General Description
This property is located in an elevated and secluded position on the edge of the charming old village of Gornja Podgora which has some old stone houses and an ancient church. You have fabulous views out to sea and across the water to the Islands of Brac and Hvar. The seaside village of Podgora is 5 minutes drive away and here you will find a lovely stretch of shingle beach, some shops, bars and restaurants of which we recommend ``Ribar`` and ``Rocco`` both have outside tables where you can enjoy your dinner overlooking the sea.
The seaside villages of Tucepi, Brela and Baska voda are also nearby and all have good beaches and a number of restaurants to choose from. The lively town of Makarska is about 10 minutes drive and this has a lovely harbour full of smart yachts and plenty of bars, restaurants and animated nightlife. During the day you can easily catch one of the regular ferry crossings for a day trip to Brac Island. About 40 minutes drive away you can go canoeing and rafting down the River Cetina which flows into the sea at Omis. The historical centre of Split is just over an hour away and has lots of interesting architecture, galleries, museums and cultural events.

The property consists of two houses side by side both of which are entered from a seafacing terrace with barbecue, outside dining table and chairs plus sunloungers and parasols. The swimming pool is here and measures 6m x 3.5m and has an outside shower.
You enter the first house into a living/dining area which has two sofas, an armchair, coffee table, satellite TV and DVD player plus dining table and chairs. Open plan to this is the kitchen fully equipped with cooker with hobs and oven, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. Adjacent is a small laundry room with a washing machine and wc. On the first floor is a double bedroom with sea view and ensuite shower room/wc, two spacious single bedrooms and a bathroom/wc. The whole unit is air conditioned.
The second house is entered into an open plan living area with sitting/dining area with sofa, TV plus dining table and chairs and a kitchen with microwave, cooker, fridge and dishwasher. A separate wc is also on this level. On the first floor is a double bedroom with balcony and sea view and bathroom/wc; up a few more steps is a second double bedroom with side sea view and shower room/wc. The whole unit is air conditioned.
