General Description
This new stone villa is located only 10 metres from the sea shore in the centre of the charming village of Sumartin on the eastern side of the Island of Brac. The village has an old centre full of stone houses and cobbled streets plus a lovely harbour and a long seaside promenade where you can enjoy strolling or sitting in one of numerous bars or restaurants right by the sea. Along part of this promenade is a high stone wall with a large green door; inside are a couple of outdoor tables of the delightful, small restaurant called ``Vrh Braca``, which also has a few outdoor tables on the seafront promenade. Up some steps to first floor level with views over the wall to the sea, is the Main House of this property.
Everything is in walking distance. The nearest little shop is only 20 metres away and a bigger supermarket and post office are just 200 metres; only a few minutes walk is ``Top`` restaurant with excellent cheese and prosciutto, grilled meat and fish served with local wines.
You can swim off the shore which has a shingle beach, only a few metres from the house, or there is a good pebble beach 1km away; 20 minutes drive is Bol which is quite lively in the evenings and has the best beach on the Island called the ``Golden Cape`` and is also good for windsurfing. From Sumartin there are regular ferries to Makarska town on the mainland which has a bustling centre full of bars and restaurants.

You enter the hall of the Main House at first floor level, off which is a spacious living/dining room with sea view, table and chairs for 6, L shaped sofa, coffee table and satellite TV; off here is balcony with lovely sea views plus table and chairs. Adjacent is a fully equipped kitchen (with access to the pool area) with cooker, oven, fridge and dishwasher, and a separate wc with a washing machine. On the top floor are three double bedrooms (one with sea view), a bathroom/wc and a shower room/wc. The whole house is air conditioned. The Cottage at the other end of the pool has a lovely well cared for garden and its own patio with barbecue, table and chairs. Inside is the living/dining area with dining table for 4, a sofa, and satellite TV; adjacent is a kitchen equipped with cooker, oven, fridge and dishwasher. There is a shower room/wc. Up spiral stairs to a gallery area is a double bed. The cottage is air conditioned.
Getting there: Saturday arrival at Split. Transit by road and ferry 2 hours 15 minutes.
